More than 25 exotic hardwood flooring species are represented in seven different BR-111™ product categories. Color Variation

Rich natural colors and distinctive graining provide characteristics unique to each species. A litany of color may be represented within one exotic species, creating a beautiful mosaic and adding to the character of the hardwood flooring.
Exotic hardwood flooring is a natural product. Many exotic species have a wide range of color and grain variation. As a result, no two planks are exactly the same, even within the same species.
When choosing your exotic hardwood floors, compare product samples to room scene photography. Product photography may be viewed on the BR-111™ web site and/or sales literature. This simple comparison will help you visualize the full range of colors available within each species.

Photosensitivity

Photosensitive species will darken with exposure to light, enhancing the natural beauty of the exotic species. As your exotic hardwood flooring matures, the species will develop an enhanced and rich depth of color that is superior to the initial out of the box installation.
Look for the sun icon in all BR-111™ sales literature to identify species that are photosensitive. The color of each photosensitive species will stabilize 3-12 months after installation.

During the first year after installation, move or rotate area rugs when cleaning to help darken floors evenly throughout your home. Over time, lighter unexposed areas will blend in with darker areas and a consistent color will be achieved within the entire room.
